10 Women arrested for begging

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: The Ministry of the Interior’s unwavering commitment to combat the issue of begging, collaborative efforts undertaken by the law enforcement authorities (Department of Protection of Public Morals and Combating Trafficking in Persons from the criminal security sector, the Farwaniya Region Command from the public security sector, and the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigation).

Their combined actions have led to the apprehension of 10 women of various nationalities who were found begging in various localities such as Al-Farwaniya, Al-Firdous, Abdullah Al-Mubarak, and Al-Jahra. Subsequently, these individuals have been referred to the appropriate jurisdiction for the initiation of requisite legal procedures.

The administration earnestly urges the public to promptly report any instances of begging through the following contact numbers: 97288211 – 97288200 – 25582581 – 25582582, or through the emergency hotline (112), which remains accessible for reporting around the clock, within a span of (24) hours.
