NEW DELHI, Nov 16, (Xinhua): At least 10 people died and seven others were injured in two separate road accidents reported in the past 12 hours in India, confirmed police sources on Sunday.

In the first accident, five youths, all friends aged below 25 years, died when their SUV car rammed into a heavy vehicle in India's central state of Madhya Pradesh early on Sunday. All five died instantly. According to the police, the SUV was traveling at a very high speed when it met with the accident.

Its front side was totally crushed under the heavy vehicle, and the bodies were recovered with the help of gas cutters. Another road accident was reported from Indian-controlled Kashmir.

A vehicle carrying around 12 people collided with a truck in the Budgam area late on Saturday night, resulting in five human deaths. Around seven people were injured in the mishap and were admitted to hospitals.
