Male and female citizens face 10, 7-year sentences for high school exam breach.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12: In the matter of the unauthorized dissemination of high school exam content through WhatsApp groups, the Criminal Court has issued its verdict. A male and female citizen have been sentenced to 10 and 7 years of imprisonment, respectively, with valid work. Additionally, another male and female citizen have been sentenced to one year of imprisonment each, along with active work.

The Public Prosecution, in response to the case of exam leakage, has decided to detain the accused for 21 days and subsequently transfer them to the central prison. The charges against the defendants include money laundering through the illegal acquisition of funds.

Earlier police investigations brought to light the involvement of additional individuals and delineated the specific roles played by each accused in the unauthorized dissemination of high school exams. The investigations also uncovered the illicitly acquired monetary gains, which were deposited into their accounts as a result of their criminal activities.
