ISLAMABAD, Feb 22, (Xinhua): At least one person was killed and four others injured in a gas explosion in Pakistan's southern Sindh province on Sunday morning, Rescue 1122 officials said.
The incident occurred in a residential building in the provincial capital Karachi. According to the statement, the explosion was caused by a gas cylinder and triggered a fire.
Rescue teams quickly brought the fire under control and carried out cooling and search operations. The injured were given initial treatment on site and shifted to a nearby hospital.
