Zain’s first trip to Arab Gulf Cup ‘Khaleeji Zain 25’ a success

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 9: Zain, Kuwait’s leading digital service provider, successfully concluded its first trip to transport Kuwait fans to the Arab Gulf Cup, now known as “Khaleeji Zain 25”, to support and cheer the Kuwait National Football Team in the competition held in Basra, Iraq with Zain Group as the title sponsor. Zain sent 10 buses and transported over 300 fans to cheer the National Team at their first group stage game against Qatar.

The company covered the trip’s expenses, including transportation, match tickets, and more, and the initiative witnessed fantastic feedback and great turnout from fans. Zain’s first trip saw fans from all age groups showing great interest and huge enthusiasm to be on the stands to support the National Team during this tournament, which is much cherished among Kuwaitis given that Kuwait is the nation with the most titles in the competition’s history.

Zain values the role of the KFA and the Ministry of Interior in facilitating the logistics of the trips. The initiative came under Zain’s strategic partnership with the Kuwait Football Association (KFA), and as part of its keenness to refl ect its national role as a leading private sector company that supports the local sports sector and contributes to elevating Kuwaiti sports and athletes. Zain Group recently announced its title sponsorship of the Arab Gulf Cup silver jubilee edition, now called “Khaleeji Zain 25”.

The company is a passionate supporter of youth and sports tournaments across the region, and the reintroduction of international football activities to Iraq re-establishes the country’s presence on the regional football map once more. “Khaleeji Zain 25” is organized and supervised by the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation in Basra, with live telecast and streaming available on various TV and online media channels.
