Wedding halls booking back again

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3, (Agencies): Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Abdulaziz Shuaib, revealed the resumption of the automatic reservation system for weddings and social occasions halls via the ‘House of Events’ application this week after a hiatus of nearly a year and a half since the outbreak of the “Corona” pandemic., reports Al-Jarida daily. The undersecretary issued this statement on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Al-Jari wedding hall in Mangaf – the hall that was established with a donation from Talal Khalifa Al-Jari to serve the people of the Ahmadi Governorate and surrounding areas – on behalf of the Minister of Affairs. Shuaib explained these halls are subject to necessary maintenance before opening. He explained the hall is a beautiful structural landmark, as it was built according to the latest architectural styles, while preserving the original Kuwaiti heritage. He pointed out the Community Development Department, is legally entrusted with the supervision and control of all halls all over the country.

Shuaib stated that the Ministry of Commerce has asked Social Affairs to provide 6 wedding halls to be used as distribution centers for food supplies to front rows workers. Meanwhile , The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport (PART), in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, Tuesday opened a new bridge on Jassim Al-KharafiRoad (Sixth Ring Road), towards Messila, as part of the “South Surra Development Project”, reports Al-Qabas daily. PART said in a press statement the 1.2 km long bridge serves motorists coming from the “Sixth Ring Road” and heading towards Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Hospital and Al-Zahra via Jaber Al-Malik Al-Sabah Road. The opening of the bridge is part of the plan to develop and modernize the country’s road network. The Al-Qabas daily quoting PART said all road users must exercise caution, abide by the speed limit traffic instructions.
