KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: The consumption of Lerica pills, used as painkillers for some patients, is illegal without prescription, and a law will be activated soon to punish anyone who will be caught in possession of this pill without a doctor’s prescription, reports Al-Qabas daily.

A reliable source told the daily that not everyone is allowed to use these pills, indicating 90 percent of those arrested were found to be using the pills without prescription. He pointed out this entails the existence of a legal loophole resulting in the release or acquittal of the suspects after their referral to the Criminal Court.
