KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Ahmad Al-Jassar sent an official letter to interim Minister of Social Affairs, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Issa Al-Kandari in response to the letter of the Social Affairs Ministry which includes information about the employees entitled to the incentive for workers on the frontline of the fight against coronavirus in accordance with the mechanism implemented by the Council of Ministers, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The daily obtained a copy of Al-Jassar’s letter stating that some employees in the list of the ministry were included in the second category of those eligible for the incentive. He reiterated that as per the decision of the Council of Ministers, the second category includes workers on the frontline of the fight against coronavirus who are assigned at the borders or quarantine centers and that the beneficiaries are determined by the CSC. Al-Jassar clarified that “in light of the nature of the work of the employees in the ministry, they should be under the third category, not second.”
