KUWAIT CITY, June 14: The Ministry of Interior has arrested a four-man gang including a woman for selling fake US $100 bills and counterfeit Kuwaiti coins for half their value, reports Al-Rai daily. The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior stated that, based on the instructions of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, retired Lieutenant-General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas, to arrest violators and outlaws, the Anti-Counterfeiting and Forgery Crimes Department of the Criminal Security Sector.

The sources said the arrest came after the Anti-Counterfeiting and Forgery Crimes Department received information about the activity of the gang, and after conducting the necessary investigations and verifying the validity of the information and obtaining permission from the Public Prosecution, the security men raided their residence and took the gang members into custody. The raiding party seized from the gang 20 Kuwaiti dinars bank notes, $100 bills, white and green papers, tape, plastic bags, white powder, a large black box, white cotton and two wine bottles.
