Tender launched for construction and maintenance of road works

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 21 : Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Ammar Al-Ajmi announced the launch of the tender for the construction, completion and maintenance of road works and main infrastructure project for the south of Saad Al-Abdullah Residential City on February 23.

Minister Al-Ajmi said in a press statement on Monday that the tender for infrastructure of the South Saad Al-Abdullah project came after the approval of the Corporation’s Tenders Committee in its meeting, indicating that purpose of the project is to implement the main roads and infrastructure works for the project, with an implementation period of 48 months. He pointed out that several tenders have been identified for roads and infrastructure for residential suburbs and public buildings, which will be put forward later, according to the schedule specified for the project tenders.

Al-Ajmi mentioned that the South Saad Al-Abdullah project is one of the major housing projects that the Public Authority for Housing Welfare is working on implementing within its housing plan. He pointed out that the project will contain 24,508 housing units, in addition to the services and public buildings necessary for them and other non-residential activities, explaining that issuing tenders for the project is linked to the meetings of specialized committee, which held its first meeting on Monday, corresponding to the 6th of February, after the participating government agencies completed the nomination of their representatives for membership at the request of the enterprise of them since last December.(KUNA)
