KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: Singer Nawal Al- Kuwaitiyya expressed shock over being expelled from the show “The Voice” to be broadcast on MBC channel and replaced by the Emirati singer Ahlam based on the decision of the channel management, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

On her Twitter account, she explained that she received the invitation from the top management of MBC channel to participate in the program as a judge and she had accepted the invitation. A team was sent to explain to her the method of recording.

Considering that all this had happened, she was shocked by the sudden decision to exclude her from the judging panel due to unknown reasons. She said such behavior indicated the management’s unprofessionalism in dealing with artistes.

Meanwhile, actor Abdullah Bahman has been admitted in Adan Hospital when he collapsed suddenly in extreme pain inside his house on Monday, reports Al-Rai daily. He explained that he fell on the ground and could not move because of the pain, and he was taken to Adan Hospital where initial tests revealed infection with severe inflammation.

Further tests will be conducted whereby he will undergo endoscopy and colonoscopy in order to determine the reasons behind the inflammation. Actor Mohamad Jaber Al-Aderousi is preparing for the filming of his new drama, “Ma Hesa Qalam” (With Hesa Pen), which will be shown in Ramadan, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The drama’s cast consists of Hayat Al- Fahad, Zahra Al-Kharji, Basim Abdulamir, Yacoub Abdullah, Mishari Al-Balaam, Hussain Al-Mahdi, Nour Al-Ghandour, Fouz Al- Shatti, Abdullah Al-Tulaihi, Retag Al-Ali and Shahd Al-Kandari among others. Al-Aderousi expressed happiness over the new opportunity to work with actress Hayat Al-Fahad (Om Suzan).

Actress Gour is busy filming her new drama, ‘Akher Al-Shittah’ (Last Winter), reports Al-Rai daily. The drama is directed by actor Faisal Al- Omairi while Faisal Dashti wrote the script. The cast includes Mohammed Safar, Hamad Ashkanani, Mohammad Al-Baloushi, Fahad Al-Saleh and others. Due to the success of the last two seasons of ‘Hamad Show,’ host of the program and social media activist Hamad Al-Ali, who is also known as ‘Hamad Qalam’, is now preparing for the launching of the third season of the show which will be aired on Al-Rai TV, reports Al-Rai daily.

The talk show is unique and it is the first of its kind in the country. A production company based in the United Arab Emirates has reached an agreement with Nawal Al-Kuwaitiyya to perform in a concert scheduled for March in Sharjah, along with singer Abadi Al-Jowhar who is popularly known as ‘Octopus of Oud’, reports Al-Anba daily.
