KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: Upon instructions of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Issam Al-Naham, 57 citations have been issued to owners of shops and garages for installing equipment into the car exhaust as a result of which the cars can ‘break the sound barrier’ or make disturbing noises while driving.
The Interior Ministry issued the citations in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The General Traffic Department said the department is determined to put an end to this uncivilized phenomenon and will continue to target reckless motorists. Violators will be fined and put behind bars, said the GTD.
