‘Russian did not strip at airport’

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: The Russian embassy in Kuwait has denied press reports which said a Russian stripped at the Kuwait International Airport, reports Al-Anba daily. The embassy said the citizen visited Kuwait recently as interpreter accompanying a Russian economic delegation and was not hired as a garage employee. The embassy in a statement explained the Russian became ill because of the work pressure during the visit of the delegation. However, he is now in Russia and well, the statement added. The embassy also praised the healthcare he received in Kuwait and noted its keenness to cooperate with various media means.

Probe opened: The security authorities have opened an investigation into the desecration of graves inside a cemetery including destroying crosses placed on the graves, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, a report has been filed at the Sulaibiya Police Station by persons who are in charge of the maintenance of the cemetery. The sources said the complainants did not point a finger of accusation at anyone especially since the cemetery has remained closed for more than 27 years.

Pigeons stolen: Police have arrested a bedoun for stealing 70 pigeons from a livestock pen in Kabd, reports Al-Shahed daily. The suspect was caught when he was transporting the stolen birds in his pickup wagon. During interrogation the man has admitted to the charge. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.
