Review all certificates of Kuwaitis and Expats

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29: The first report made by the Coordination Committee with all ministries and government agencies to study and examine the “educational certificates” came to the conclusion that the Ministry of Higher Education is to review all the ‘accreditation’ of all certificates of citizens and residents, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The report, which was discussed by the Council of Ministers at its last meeting, said the ministry shall determine the priority for the review based on the audit results. The Higher Education shall be tasked with following up the number of Kuwaiti students included in the list of equivalence with the Ministry, in coordination with cultural offices abroad, and provide periodic updates on the latest developments in this regard.

‘Review teachers files’
The Ministry of Education has responded to the request of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to review files of 460 expatriate and GCC teachers before signing contracts with them, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting knowledgeable sources from the educational sector.
