KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh securitymen arrested eight Asian prostitutes, two pimps, and five Asian fun-seekers. Police launched security campaigns and checkpoints in the area and noticed some people entering an abandoned building.
They seized the 15 Asian expatriates on the roof of the building which they were using as a brothel. Among them, 12 were reported as absconding, and one of the pimps was wanted by law for a theft and assault crime. They were referred to the concerned authorities in preparation for their deportation.
Fake Kuwaiti held: Khaitan securitymen arrested a wanted Egyptian man who claimed to be a Kuwaiti, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, securitymen on routine patrol duty in the area suspected two individuals in a car and demanded to see their identifications documents. The Egyptian man said he forgot his civil ID, but claimed he is the brother of the Kuwaiti citizen who was with him. He then provided securitymen with a civil ID number which belonged to someone else. Securitymen checked the man and found his Egyptian passport in his possession along with a toolkit, several keys of vehicles and a number of vehicle registration books, which were believed to be forged. The two individuals have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
