Products from Philippines making home closer to Filipinos in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Mohd Noordin Pendosina N. Lomondot recently visited City Centre at Manara Mall in Shuwaikh and had a tour together with Philippine Labor Attache to Kuwait Nasser S. Mustafa and some Philippine Embassy staff. City Centre Kuwait top management officials led by COO Ajay Goel welcomed warmly Ambassador Lomondot and his delegation to the mall. Goel together with City Centre executives accompanied the Ambassador and his delegation as he briefed them on the wide array of products on display and arranged for the convenience of the customers. They toured the various sections of the hypermarket that showcased grocery items, fresh produce, meat products as well as electronics, toys, kitchenware and a whole a lot more.

The Ambassador was impressed with the wide range of products available at the City Centre that included imported items exclusively sold at City Centre such as the Waitrose from the United Kingdom. Goel led Ambassador Lomondot to the Philippine products section where shelves are filled with products from the Philippines such as noodles, canned goods, seasoning, snack items, sweets and more. “I’m very happy to see a wide array of Philippine food products here in City Centre and we would like to thank City Centre for bringing in these products from the Philippines, making home closer to Filipinos in Kuwait. We hope to see more of our world-class quality Philippine products here at City Centre in the future,” stated Ambassador Lomondot. The Ambassador also met some of the Filipinos working at City Centre who expressed to him their good working condition accorded to them by the company management. There are around 127 Filipinos currently working at City Centre. The management revealed its plan to Ambassador Lomondot and Labor Attache Mustafa to hire more Filipino staff in line with its expansion.
