KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: A Kuwaiti citizen attacked his wife and broke her nose during a quarrel between them that erupted after she forged medical test which stated that she is pregnant.
The husband had checked with the clinic and was shocked when he was informed it was not true. The wife said she took such a step because her husband has been frequently threatening her by saying he will get married to another woman. The couple has been referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
Brawl over dance: A group of girls had a fall out at a coffee shop in Jahra area when one of them took a snapshot of a friend while she was dancing. A security source said the police intervened and resolved the quarrel before referring the girls to the area police station for questioning. A case was registered.
Couple in verbal clash: A young man and a girl engaged in a heated argument in front of a grocery in Salmiya area. Owner of the grocery called the Operations Room and reported the incident but passersby managed to resolve the issue before the arrival of security operatives. He told security operatives that the young man accompanied by the girl in a luxury car and he pulled up in front of the grocery during a heated argument. He drove away after settling the quarrel, leaving the girl at the scene. Measures have since been taken by the police to invite the duo for questioning.
Drunk woman in custody: A woman in her 20s, high on liquor hit a patrol car at a parking lot in Zahra area. A security source said the patrolmen were surprised when the woman hit their vehicle at the parking but later discovered she was under the infl uence of alcohol. She was arrested and referred to the area police station for further investigation.
