Police in misconduct probe; Maid flees with jewelry

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: The Ministry of Interior identified, in less than 24 hours, the police officer who uploaded a video taken while he was in his patrol car uttering immoral words at a young foreigner walking on the street, so he and his partner officer were referred to the concerned authority.

According to a security source, the two police officers are affiliated to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Security Command, and that one of them took the video and uploaded it on social media. Meanwhile, the ministry affirmed that Undersecretary Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Dosari gave orders to the security agencies to quickly identify and arrest the two officers and refer them to the relevant unit.

In the same context, the Public Relations and Security Media Department in the ministry revealed that the security agency identified the two officers and took their statement as a preliminary step for taking disciplinary measures against them. The statement affirmed that there is no one above the law and police officers should adhere to the disciplinary standards of the force and they should serve as models to others.

Maid steals jewelry: A Kuwaiti lady filed a complaint with officers at the Mubarak Al-Kabeer police station alleging the housemaid stole KD 8,000 plus jewelry and escaped from the house. She provided details of the maid and case was registered to trail and arrest her. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti man filed a case against an unknown person who stole three sheep from his livestock pen in Kabad area.
