KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: An unidentified Egyptian who attempted to end his life by trying, to be run over by oncoming cars has been arrested and referred to the authorities, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the suspect had been sentenced in absentia to four years imprisonment and was also wanted by law for trading in alcohol. When a police patrol on routine duty suspected the Egyptian while driving on an Expressway opposite Mubarak Al-Kabir they ordered him to pull over to check his ID. The suspect reportedly handed over the ID and as it was being checked, the man ran in the direction of oncoming cars with the intention of ending his life.Links with DAESH probed: The Kuwait State Security police are in touch with their Egyptian counterparts to obtain information about an Egyptian, a student of the Egyptian Faculty of Engineering, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the student was on a visit to Kuwait after he left an item was found in his apartment with the words ‘DAESH’ written on it.
