KUWAIT CITY, May 20: Head of the Kuwait Municipality’s Hawalli branch Riyadh Al-Rabea’a, has denied rumors circulating on the social networking websites that restaurants in Kuwait serve donkey and dog meat, reports Al- Shahed daily. The daily quoting Al-Rabea’a said the Municipality ensures that all eateries in Kuwait comply with the law and that the Municipality always exercises strict supervision. According to Al- Rabea’a the person who spread such rumors is a psychopath.

Meanwhile, Al-Rabea’a pointed out the Municipality alone has no role to play in the issue of cross-dressers working in massage parlors in Hawalli. He said it is the job of the Tripartite Committee comprising members from the Kuwaiti Municipality, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. Following this a directive was issued to arrest the man and he was caught red-handed while robbing an unidentifi ed person. He has been handed over to the authorities.
