KUWAIT CITY, March 6: A diplomatic source said Fahd Al-Marshad, who was trapped in Ukraine, has been contacted and was to arrive in Romania with the help of members of the Kuwaiti embassies in Kyiv and Bucharest, reports Al-Qabas daily. The source told the daily all needs of the citizens will be provided to facilitate their return to the country.

The source stated the “Bedoun” student Abdullah Mayah also arrived in Romania and was handed a travel document to enable him to return to the country. The source indicated that the student contacted the Kuwait Embassy in Ukraine, and he entered Romania, and the document was given to him to enter Kuwait. The source stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will spare no efforts to provide all assistance to Kuwaiti citizens abroad in light of the conditions created by the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the US Ambassador to Kuwait Alina Romanowski likened the struggle of Ukrainian women for their country’s freedom to the struggle of Kuwaiti women in 1990, reports Al-Rai daily. “Today, we celebrate the amazing achievements of women across time and around the world, praising what many Ukrainian women are doing for the freedom of their country,” she said.
