KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: National Bank of Kuwait is set to take part in the Kuwait Banks Club (KBC) Tournament 2022-2023, in line with its commitment to provide a creative and harmonious work environment for its employees. Fifty-three skilled players from NBK will be participating in the banking league season for football, bowling, paddle and cricket. NBK Sports team Manager and PR Representative, Mohammad Al Sarraf, said: “The NBK teams continued their training and preparations to compete in this annual tournament, with the teams featuring a group of the Bank’s employees who are passionate football enthusiasts with the necessary skills and abilities to qualify them to compete in the matches and the championship cup.”

“Our employees represent a completely foundational priority at NBK, and is one of our six main sustainability focus areas,” added Al Sarraf. “NBK sports teams are part of NBK’s Staff Wellbeing program that aims to improve employees’ health and lifestyle.” Al Sarraf also stressed on the importance of these teams in contributing effectively to the well-being of our employees.

“By providing the opportunity for our employees to participate and excel in a team setting, this helps boost their sense of belonging to the workplace and motivates them to perform at an even higher level.” It is worth noting that KBC 2022/2023 banking sports season will kick off with the Bowling tournament on 3 December 2022, followed by the football tournament on 21 December 2022. Both the paddle and the cricket tournaments will start on January 2023.
