Missing Kuwaiti citizen’s corpse ‘located’

KUWAIT CITY, May 27: The body of the Kuwaiti citizen Mubarak Al-Rashidi, who went missing in mid-April, has been found in the western Al-Salmi area, the Ministry of Interior said on Friday evening. Under instructions from the First Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al- Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations has launched a search campaign since the disappearance of Al-Rashidi.

Hundreds of security personnel, including from the departments of public security, traffic, central operations, patrols and helicopters, as well as volunteers, joined the search campaign. They worked relentlessly around the clock until they located the body of the deceased man, the Ministry’s General Directorate of Security Relations and Media said in a press release. The Ministry expressed sincere condolences for the bereaved family, pledging to continue searching for clues as to what led to Al-Rashidi’s death. (KUNA)
