KUWAIT CITY, Aug 12: According to data released by concerned authorities in Ministry of Interior, about 200,000 Kuwaitis will not show up for DNA testing which is a prerequisite for getting the new electronic passport, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They said these citizens fear the discovery of forgery and fraud in their citizenship files. The sources revealed that this segment of citizens is in violation of the Constitution over lack of original files that can explain how they obtained their citizenship either paternally in line with Articles 1, 2 and 7 or legally in line with Article 5.

They explained that a number of these citizens are scared to undergo DNA testing and will instead relocate to neighboring countries. Some of them have already started selling their houses and properties and enrolling their children in schools in other GCC countries in preparation for the relocation.
