Man dies in mishap as wife watches – Newly-wed Egyptian meets fate

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: A newly- wed Egyptian died on the spot after he was run over by a Kuwaiti motorist on the Sixth Ring Road opposite Sulaibiya, reports Al-Qabas daily. The victim who was married two weeks ago died in front of his wife. His car had a mechanical failure and he was repairing the vehicle on the side of the road when he was knocked down by the Kuwaiti. Without going into details, the daily said the corpse of the victim has been referred to Forensics.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti has filed a divorce lawsuit against his wife accusing her of causing him psychological harm, reports Al-Shahed daily. In the law suit the plaintiff has requested for exemption from paying alimony because he said she has caused him harm by snoring in her sleep. The daily gave no other details.

Car on fire: Fire engulfed a vehicle on Fahaheel Road but no injuries were reported to the driver, reports Al-Seyassah. According to sources, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the vehicle on fire, firefighters rushed to the location with securitymen and paramedics. Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the fire in record time. Initial investigation revealed that the fire was caused by short circuit in the car’s engine. Necessary action was taken
