Liquor factory run by 4 Nepali expats busted

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 7: The security department raided one of the largest liquor factories in Adan area run by 4 Nepali including two women, where large quantity of liquor along with manufacturing tools were confiscated.

Security source said that at 8:30 pm, during the time of partial ban, security officers were on its regular patrol duty in the Adan region, a person was seen walking and violating the ban, who turned out to be Nepali citizen with a black bag in his hand. He looked confused after questioning him he ran toward a house in Block 8 where he was chased down by the security men. It was found that there were number of cartons at the entrance to the house and an unpleasant smell emitted from inside.

The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security was informed of a suspicious house as a liquor distilling plant and the inhabitant were refusing to respond to the instructions of the security men. To this Major General Al-Zoubi gave permission to enter the house after coordination with the Public Prosecution.

4 Nepali expats were arrested inside, the first was a woman named Anilak, born in 1990, the second was called Vienna born in 1987, the third was born in 1991, and the fourth was called Chatnoni. 29 black bags were found inside the house each of which had 7 bottles of locally distilled liquor in it addition to 277 barrels were kept for fermentation.
