Lebanese President reiterates keenness on relations with GCC states

BEIRUT, Dec 3: Lebanese Information Minister George Kordahi tendered, on Friday, his resignation. In a press conference, Kordahi affirmed that he was resigning to put the interest of the country, its people, and loved ones head of his own. Kordahi's statement directed towards a number of GCC state in regards to military operations Yemen had caused a diplomat row between Lebanon and Gulf Arab states.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun accepted the resignation of the Minister of Information George Kordahi on Friday. While receiving Kordahi's letter of resignation, President Aoun renewed Lebanon's keenness on maintaining the best possible relations with sisterly Arab countries in general and the GCC countries in particular. The President hopes that this resignation would put an end to the imbalance that afflicted the Lebanese-GCC relations, according to a statement by the Lebanese presidency. Kordahi announced his resignation earlier today at a press conference at the Ministry of Information. (KUNA)
