Law Enforcement Intensifies Crackdown on Drug Dealers and Traffickers

KUWAIT CITY, June 22: In a determined effort to combat the detrimental impact of narcotics and psychotropic substances and safeguard the well-being of the nation’s youth, the Ministry of the Interior, supported by the Criminal Security Sector, remains resolute in apprehending drug dealers and smugglers.

During a recent operation, five individuals, including a citizen, two Filipinos, and two illegal residents, were apprehended. The suspects were found in possession of a significant quantity of illicit substances, including 40 Lyrica pills, 10 grams of chemical substances, 60 grams of Crystal Meth, 7,000 Captagon pills, 5 grams of heroin, 3 Zinx tablets, and a firearm.

Upon interrogation, the defendants confessed that the seized items were intended for trafficking and abuse. Consequently, both the individuals and the confiscated items have been referred to the competent authority to initiate the necessary legal proceedings against them.

The General Administration of Security Relations and Media underscores the relentless efforts of law enforcement personnel who work tirelessly day and night to combat drug dealers and protect society from the perils of drug abuse. They urge the public to collaborate with security forces by promptly reporting any suspicious activities or incidents to the emergency hotline at (112) or the General Department for Drug Control at (1884141).
