KUWAIT CITY, July 15: Kuwaiti swimmer Lara Dashti in remarks to KUNA ,said she and her fellow citizens are well prepared for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games,due July 23 to August 8. Dashti and Abbas Qali will compete in swimming, Abdulrahman Al-Fadhel in rowing and Mohammad Al-Musawi in Karate. The two Kuwaiti swimmers took part in external training camps, under supervision of their Italian coach Simon Tastaka. The 17-year-old Dashti is confident of making a good run in the 50-m freestyle after intensive training .
Al-Musawi said he is hoping to be among the top winners. Rower Al-Fadhel qualified for the top Olympics after excelling in the Asian championship. Kuwait is partaking in the Olympics with 10 athletes.Four shooters, Abdulrahman Al-Faihan, Mansour Al- Rashidi, Abdullah Turgi Al-Rashidi and Talal Turgi Al-Rashidi. In the field-and-track, Kuwait is represented by Yaaqoub Al-Yoha and Madhawi Al-Shemmari. (KUNA)
