Curfew violators hit checkpoint

KUWAIT CITY, May 2: A jeep overturned on the Wafra Road which resulted in the death of two Kuwaitis believed to be 16 and 17 years old. The accident also caused injury to three others two of whom are in critical condition. The corpses of the two victims have been transferred to the Forensic medicine and a case has been recorded at the area police station. According to a security source, when the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the incident, police and paramedics rushed to the site, and it turned out that all those inside the vehicle were juveniles, indicating that two of them died from their wounds, while 3 paramedics went to Al-Adan Hospital, and a case was recorded in the accident. An investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested a Kuwaiti and another person accompanying him for crashing into a police checkpoint and attempting to run over a security man. The incident happened on the King Fahd Road near Ahmadi. The suspects have been arrested and handed over to the Ahmadi police. The men have been charged with assaulting security men, violating the curfew hours. The suspects allegedly hit the checkpoint and escaped but they were chased and arrested.
