KUWAIT CITY Oct 23: Kuwaiti shooter Abdullah Al-Rashidi clinched a silver medal in the ISSF President's Cup skeet event held at Larnaca Shooting Range on Saturday. The three-time world champion shooter's latest achievement comes months after he took bronze in the same event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Speaking to KUNA over the phone, the marksman dedicated the win to his country's leadership and to the Kuwaiti people.

After a strike of 50 out of 50 points on offer in the preliminary round, Al-Rashidi followed up with a 22 out of 24 tally to trail behind Italy's Gabriele Rossetti at the southern Cypriot port city. The competition, held on an invitation-only basis, grouped the top 12 shooters in the world across several disciplines. A total three Kuwaitis featured in the competition, including Al-Rashidi, who added that this demonstrates the accuracy and precision of his compatriots (KUNA)
