Kuwait Strike Blow to Narcotics Dealers: 120 Kilos of Drugs Intercepted

KUWAIT CITY, May 21: Under the diligent supervision and active monitoring of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the security measures and field operations have been intensified to combat the promotion and trafficking of narcotics.

In a successful joint operation between law enforcement officers and the General Administration of the Coast Guard, significant progress has been made in the fight against drug dealers and promoters. The operation resulted in the disruption of a smuggling attempt involving approximately 120 kilograms of narcotic hashish and one kilogram of narcotic opium. These illicit substances were seized from three individuals who were attempting to transport them via sea.

The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated contraband, will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for necessary legal actions. They will be subsequently transferred to the Narcotics Prosecution, where their case will be appropriately handled in accordance with jurisdictional procedures. This operation underscores the continued efforts to combat narcotics and maintain security within the country.
