Kuwait Police soccer team advance to round 16

The under-35 and above-35 indoor soccer teams of Kuwait Police Sport Union progressed to round 16 of the World Police Indoor Soccer Tournament that is being held in the Netherlands.

The under-35 Kuwaiti police team played matches with teams of Spain, Belarus, Germany, England, Romania and Australia. The above-35 team played matches with the teams of Romania, Poland, Italy, Macedonia, Russia, and Bosnia, and also played in round 16 on Tuesday.

Head of the Kuwait Police Sport Union delegation that is participating in tournament Colonel Walid Al-Shihab expressed gratitude to the Board Chairman of the union Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna and Secretary Major General Saoud Al-Khader for the support shown to the teams that are participating in the tournament. He also thanked the administration and technical staff for their big role in preparing the teams mentally and physically.

Colonel Al-Shihab explained that the participation of the teams of Kuwait Police Sport Union in international competitions is in line with the keenness of the board for ensuring serious participation of the teams in international competitions and that they win trophies, especially since the union has all the facilities at their disposal and is able to represent Kuwait police force efficiently.

He added that these competitions also present a good chance for the team players to improve their skills as they compete with the best players in the world.
