KUWAIT CITY, Mar 9: Kuwait and Kazma clubs achieved their first victories in the first semi-final matches of the Kuwaiti Basketball Premier League at the expense of Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Jahra, respectively. To achieve their first victory in this round five-match play-off system is being played.
Kuwait club topped the preliminary league competitions for the championship which was held at the Union Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Indoor Complex against its arch rival Al-Qadisiyah who finished fourth in the league, with a victory (101/85).
Kuwait club, the defending champion for the last five seasons showed their dominance over most of the match, while Al-Qadisiyah tried to keep up the pace with their opponent and managed to do so  as their players scored several  points, but the defense side of the team put them down.
The second match between Kazma and Jahra and ended with 82/72 witnessed parity between the two teams, Kazma, the runner-up of the preliminary league, managed to win the  match by 10 points.
