Kuwait fails to cruise into ’23 Asian Cup qualifiers

KUWAIT, June 14: Kuwait lost the opportunity of cruising into the final round of qualifiers for AFC Asian Cup 2023 after being defeated by Jordan 0-3 on Tuesday. The Jordanian team dominated the game held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium as part of Group A competitions.

Ali Elwan netted the opener in the 60th minute, while his teammates Mahmoud Mordi and Nour El-Din Al-Rowabda scored the second and third goals later. By this win, Jordan snatched a berth at the companionship topping the group with nine points. Nepal and Indonesia are currently playing in the same group.(KUNA)
