Kuwait Disabled Sports Club holds 3-day Ramadan games

KUWAIT CITY, May 27, (KUNA): Ramadan’s disabled games, which included five competitions, began on Saturday and featuring participation of over 100 athletes. The three-day games, held at Kuwait Disabled Sports Club, began with a wheelchair basketball match between the Olympic and Lakers – both local teams. Another basketball match was held between mentally disabled athletes.

The first day featured qualification fencing events and table tennis, as well as competitions for the blind. The games, in their 10th year, are part of preparations for championships abroad, Mohsen Al-Ajmi, director of national teams at the disabled club, told KUNA. He said the games were also an opportunity to discover new talents.
