Kuwait Customs confiscates 3 shipments of parcels loaded with counterfeit goods in air cargo

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: Customs officers seized three shipments of counterfeit goods and prepared a record for disposal of these goods after obtaining approval from the Ministry of Commerce, which confirmed the items are fake and those behind the shipments have violated intellectual property rights.

In a press statement, the Customs General Department revealed that the customs officers assigned in the air cargo center suspected three shipments containing 280 parcels and weighed 6,000 kilograms. These shipments came from an Asian country through a GCC port. Samples were submitted to the concerned authorities that affirmed the shipments contained fake wristwatches, bags, optical items and accessories
