Presentation focuses on potential of trade between India and Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The Indian Embassy in Kuwait organized the ‘State Facilitation Goa’ event on Oct 26, 2022 at the embassy auditorium focusing on tourism and investment opportunities available in the tiny touristic State of Goa which is famous for its golden beaches, world class destination for tourist, amazing night life, tastiest food, thrilling water sports and football, sightseeing and various other activities. In his inaugural remarks, First Secretary (Commerce) Dr. Vinod Gaikwad welcomed everyone on behalf of Ambassador of India to Kuwait HE Sibi George, and said Goa is the most known tourist destinations of India in Kuwait and is famous for the right blend of traditionality and modernity. It’s a paradise for tourists visiting India from various parts of the world. Today, Goa is not only about beautiful landscape and cashews but also for upcoming knowledge-based industries destination like IT, BT, Pharmaceuticals, etc, he added.

He urged the Kuwaitis to visit this beautiful destination to enjoy the warm hospitality of the Goan people and relax in the arms of nature, saying there is direct air connectivity between Kuwait and Goa. During the event, a detailed virtual presentation was given by Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Goa Investment and Promotion Board and Goa Tourism Development Corporation. The presentation by Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industries focused on the potential of trade between India and Kuwait, it explains the opportunities for investment in Goa along with the purpose of Invest Goa 2022.

It also gave details of the focus sectors in Goa like IT, logistics, marine food processing, tourism, etc. The presentation by Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board, started with the brief background of the strengths of the state of Goa along with the highlights of the Goa Industrial Growth and Investment Promotion Policy, 2022, reforms made by the state government and overview of the incentives like Investment Promotion and Single Window Clearance Act. The presentation by Goa Tourism Development Corporation LTD. focused on the vibrant tourism industry in Goa, the competitive advantages enjoyed by Goa, the infrastructure projects and promotion of heritage and culture of Goa.
