Hospitality expenses in MoSA budget suspended

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: According to reliable sources from the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Acting Undersecretary Musallam Al-Subaie has ordered the suspension of the hospitality expenses item in all sectors and departments of the ministry, including the offices of the minister, the undersecretary and the assistant undersecretaries from Tuesday, reports Al-Anba daily.

On a related level, they stated that a decision will be issued soon to return the affiliation of the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities to the Minister of Social Affairs, as he had transferred supervision of it to the Minister of Health in the previous government.

This step was taken after the Ministry of Social Affairs had developed its own vision in addressing the files of buildings and services shared between the ministry and Public Authority for the Disabled Affairs (PADA), which included two proposals in this regard. The first includes the transfer of the departments affiliated to the authority from the Social Welfare Homes Complex in Sulaibikhat to South Sabahiya. The first is fully affiliated with the ministry and the second is affiliated with PADA.
