Garages repairing ‘drifters’ damaged cars targeted

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: The Public Security Sector under the supervision of Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs, Major-General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, organized a security campaign inside the Shuwaikh Industrial Area targeting garages which repair cars without permission from the Ministry of Interior, reports Al-Shahed daily.

According to security sources, the police have towed to the Interior Ministry garage 15 vehicles which were being repaired without permit from the ministry, and some of the vehicles whose car registration had expired long ago.

Most of the damages on the cars were caused while making stunts on the roads. Some of these vehicles are registered in a GCC country and has no insurance papers. Police are looking for the owners of these vehicles. In the meantime, the public security sector has confirmed inspection and security campaigns will be organized in a number of locations to control the security situation and arrest the outlaws.
