Foreign Ministry refutes ‘transfer’ report

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry on Thursday categorically denied reports about an alleged transfer of chiefs of Kuwaiti diplomatic missions. In a press statement, the ministry sounded the alarm about the circulation of such misinformation and called for obtaining information from official sources.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Magdy Al- Dhafeeri received Thursday the EU Deputy Director-General for the Middle East and North Africa of the External Action Services, Carl Hallergard and his accompanying delegation.

The talks came within the framework of completing the political consultations that were held recently in Brussels between Ambassador Al-Dhafeeri, and the EU Secretary-General of the External Action Services Enrique Mora. During the talks, bilateral ties between Kuwait and the EU were touched on. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Foreign Minister for the Affairs of Deputy minister’s office Ambassador Ayham Al-Omar. (KUNA)
