KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: With the decrease in Corona infections and the decline of the epidemic significantly, the Ministry of Health is focusing on the drug stocks for the next stage to ensure appropriate health care for all patients in all government health facilities. A health official informed Al-Qabas that the ministry had recently proposed to the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT), some changes related to the purchase of medical supplies and consumables for the anesthesia and intensive care departments, as well as supplies used as pharmaceutical catheters for the cardiac catheterization unit in the Chest Diseases Hospital, and others used in Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital.

In addition to medical materials, a device used in cardiac resuscitation at the Amiri Hospital, and supplies used for conducting medical tests on Kuwaitis who are sent abroad for treatment. The official pointed out the ministry had obtained approvals from the regulatory authorities for the purchase of medicines for the treatment of mental illnesses in public hospitals, at a cost of 720,000 dinars, as well as drugs used to treat chronic pain in hospitals, at a value of 2.4 million dinars, saying this issue has been referred to the Audit Bureau for final approvals.
