KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid issued a directive to stop the extension of all visit visas granted to Syrians, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a security source. According to the source, the directive is also applicable to all visa exten sions approved prior to the issuance of this decision. The source confirmed that under this directive, all Syrians who came to Kuwait on visit visas must leave upon the expiration of their visas.
DNA testing centers: Kuwait has no intention to open DNA testing centers in Kuwaiti embassies abroad for citizens residing outside the country, whether they are part of the diplomatic corps or students, to submit their DNA samples, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a security source. The source explained the techniques for conducting DNA tests are very sophisticated and expensive, not to mention the need for specialists. The source added these citizens will undergo DNA test when they return home for holidays, such that the electronic passports will be issued to them upon completion of the procedure.
