KUWAIT CITY: The Ethiopian Ambassador to Kuwait Abdulaziz Adam was quoted as saying Ethiopia is ready to enter the Kuwait labor market after a lapse of four years, reports Al-Jarida daily. He said, the Kuwaiti and Ethiopian authorities have been working in this area about a short time ago to work out the modalities of returning the Ethiopian workers to Kuwait. He stressed, his country will not demand exceptional conditions during the signing of the agreement which is expected to be signed next June by the latest. He revealed the return of Ethiopian workers will be in accordance with the laws currently in force in Kuwait and recruitment prices will not exceed the conventional local market.Adam denied any agreements have been signed between either with the government of Kuwait or private Kuwaiti companies on the issue of bringing domestic workers from his Addis Ababa. This came after the Kuwaiti Federation of Home Office Employers announced earlier that it had successfully signed a cooperation agreement with the Ethiopian Federation of Employment Agencies, allowing all offices and companies to recruit domestic workers, including the company Durra, from Ethiopia in the near future.
