KUWAIT CITY, Sept 18: Personnel from General Department of Drugs and Alcohol Control (GDDAC) have arrested two people in possession of a large quantity of various drugs, whose market value is estimated at more than 3 million Kuwaiti dinars, reports Al- Rai daily.

The daily added the securitymen have also seized from the men firearms and ammunition and the men were taken into custody after the department received a tip-off from an unidentified police informer. Following the information the CID men raided the home of one of the suspects and found inside a storage room more than one ton of Lyrica pills, 35 kilos of chemical, 18 kilos of shabu, 2 kilos of hashish, and 1 kilo of Lyrica powder, 3 kilos of marijuana, 2000 Captagon tablets, 2 Kalashnikov rifles, 4 pistols and various types of ammunition. During interrogation the suspects admitted that the contraband belongs to them and also admitted to trafficking in drugs. They have been referred to the concerned authorities.
