Drug pushers arrested

KUWAIT CITY, March 20: The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Directorate-General of Drugs Control stated that the criminal security sector, represented by the General Department for Drug Control, managed to arrest a person and seized from him narcotics and weapons. The Ministry of Interior said plainclothes policemen seized from the suspect Captagon pills, 10 grams of Crystal Meth, two Kalashnikov assault rifles, bullets, a electronic scale, and two bottles of alcohol.

Also, personnel from the Jahra Security Directorate have taken into custody a citizen from an unidentified Gulf country and a bedoun for peddling in drugs, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the men put up strong resistance but they were overpowered and handcuffed and taken into custody.

Police have seized from them a quantity of narcotic substances, drug use tools and special equipment for selling narcotics. On the other hand, the securitymen of Najdah Mubarak Al-Kabeer managed to seize a 46-year-old Arab expatriate driving a car in Al-Qusour area under the influence of drugs. Police have also seized from him drugs. The three men have been handed over to the General Department of Drugs and Alcohol Control (GDDAC).
