Downed racket wins the game

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: Assembly Observer MP Osama Al-Shaheen recently met Kuwaiti athlete Muhammad Al-Awadi to honor him for refusing to play tennis with an Israeli athlete; as well as for winning third place in the International competition held in Dubai. He praised the stand of Al-Awadi, pointing out this indicates that his parents raised him well.

He added the position adopted by Al-Awadi implies the awareness of the Muslim youth about the Palestinian issue and the crimes against humanity committed by the Zionist entity against the unarmed people of Palestine. In addition, Al-Shaheen submitted a proposal for the State of Kuwait, represented by the Public Authority for Youth Affairs, to honor Kuwaiti athletes who refuse to compete with Israeli athletes.By Saeed Mahmoud Saleh Arab Times Staff
