A big number of ambassadors, diplomats and media representatives attended the event. According to Ngo, most of the Vietnamese working in Kuwait are assigned in construction sites and oilfields. He pointed out that Kuwait needs skilled manpower from Vietnam in particular, and from Asia in general. He added that Vietnam and Kuwait celebrate the 46th anniversary of the start of their bilateral relations this year.

He revealed “the volume of trade exchange in 2021 reached $5 billion. We import oil from Kuwait; while it imports fabrics and fruits from us, specifically coconut, litchi and spices. We are optimistic about the expansion of trade volume between our countries. We look forward to bringing more Vietnamese products to Kuwait.”

On the number of Kuwaitis visiting his country, Ngo affirmed that “the number of Kuwaitis wishing to visit Hanoi began to increase after removing all obstacles and medical procedures related to Corona. The embassy issued about 30 visas in the last three months. We look forward to increasing this number in the coming months.” He revealed “a large delegation consisting of around 15 businesspersons in various commercial fields will visit Kuwait in September. Vietnam is ready to cover Kuwait’s need for food security, as the entire world continues to suffer from food scarcity due to the Russian-Ukraine War.”
