Customs seizes 33 diesel containers

KUWAIT CITY, May 6: Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs announced on Saturday the seizure of 33 containers of petroleum derivative (diesel), which is prohibited from being exported. The customs handed over the containers to the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) after they were seized by the inspectors of the northern ports and Failaka Island.

The containers were headed to one of the Gulf countries, said general administration of customs in a statement. The containers were unloaded into tanks belonging to the KNPC, in coordination and cooperation with the Kuwait Fire Force, it added in a statement. For his part, the Director General of the General Administration of Customs Sulaiman Al-Fahad expressed his appreciation to the KNPC and administration of customs efforts and rapid response. (KUNA)
