KUWAIT CITY, March 24: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has completed the registration of citizens who want to work in governmental institutions for the 62nd period – March 9-23, reports Al-Jaridah daily.

The commission allotted this period in a bid to accommodate the biggest number of graduates from Kuwait University and Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in the first semester of the current school year.

The daily obtained a copy of the statistics prepared by the CSC which showed that 7,075 citizens registered within this period – 2,539 males and 4,536 females.

In another development, Al-Anba daily has reported that the CSC rejected the request of the Health Ministry to postpone the application of the replacement policy for three years. The CSC then asked the ministry to implement decision number 11/2017 on the Kuwaitization of governmental sector jobs.

Sources said the ministry requested for postponement of the implementation of the policy due to shortage of manpower in legal, financial and engineering fields which will have a negative impact on health services. Sources added the ministry cited preparation and training of national manpower as justifications for postponement.
